About me
I'm Jeroen.
Jeroen by Default is my place on the internet. No fixed topic, just room for whatever I'm looking into or experiencing at the time, or might want to read again later.
Technology and AI come up here often. New isn't automatically better; I want to know what something does in practice. I try things out for myself, compare different options and sometimes dig further than necessary until I understand how it works.
Not everything happens behind a screen, though. Lynn and I enjoy travelling, walk a lot and would rather pick a quiet path, a small village or somewhere we end up by chance than the attraction with a queue already outside. Other things find their way here too, from food and exercise to small projects and thoughts that stuck with me that day.
Dribbel & Misty ↗ (opens in a new tab) turn up in the stories regularly. Two plush travel companions, each with a personality of their own. Dribbel likes to see himself as the main character. Misty usually takes a slightly more level-headed view.
It's a personal logbook, not an expert blog or a brand, and it changes along with me.
